Listen To Your Body (3 Tips)

We were all born with an intuition. Intuition is described as "the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning." I've learned that an important aspect in my fitness journey has been becoming aware of my body and being in tuned with it's "message". See below for my 3 tips on how to listen to your body!


1. MAKE TIME FOR YOU- Whether it is going to the gym, to the park, or even the movies by yourself, you must make time for YOU! It could even be just a quick walk around the neighborhood. Getting in tuned with your body starts with understanding the importance of self-love and self-awareness. Taking the time to embrace you and all your imperfections is an amazing process that develops your consciousness.


2. MEDITATE - Don't underestimate the power of meditation. You will be surprised at what you hear when you wake up early, find a quite space and focus on clearing out bad energies. Meditation allows for you to relax and has been proven to reduce stress.


3. RECOGNIZING HOW YOUR BODY RESPONDS TO EXERCISE - There is no gain without pain, that is for sure, however it is important to distinguish between when your body isn't feeling up to exercise and when it is just sore. Moderation is key! The fitness journey is a roller coaster, there are going to be good days and bad days, but you must hold on for the ride. I recommend having yearly physicals to be sure your body is up to exercising on a regular basis.
